ToolXiv is a discovery platform for AI-built open-source tools. We catalog, index, and provide metadata about publicly available repositories. ToolXiv does not host or distribute the tools themselves.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ToolXiv, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
3. User Accounts
- You may sign in using GitHub or Google OAuth.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must not impersonate others or create accounts for malicious purposes.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Submitted Content
- When you submit a tool, you represent that it is a legitimate open-source project with a valid license.
- Submitted tools must have an approved open-source license.
- We reserve the right to review, approve, or reject any submission at our discretion.
- Tool metadata (name, description, categories) may be edited by ToolXiv for accuracy and consistency.
5. API Usage
- API access is subject to rate limits as documented in our API guide.
- API keys are personal and must not be shared.
- Automated scraping beyond the provided API is prohibited.
- We may revoke API keys that violate usage policies.
6. Intellectual Property
- ToolXiv does not claim ownership of the tools listed on the platform. Each tool is subject to its own license.
- The ToolXiv platform, including its design, code, and original content, is the property of ToolXiv.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit tools containing malware or malicious code.
- Abuse the review system or manipulate tool rankings.
- Use the service to harass, spam, or harm others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to ToolXiv systems.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
ToolXiv is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of any listed tool. You use listed tools at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
ToolXiv shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or any tool discovered through it.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ToolXiv after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
